Intertainment's "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her" Opens Special Program in Cannes

Munich, 27. April - "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her", a US production, is slated to open a satellite program of the 52nd Annual Cannes Film Festival entitled "Un Certain Regard". The drama revolving around the lives of six women living in the San Fernando Valley stars Glenn Close, Cameron Diaz, Holly Hunter and Calista Flockhart (of Ally McBeal fame). Most of the stars will attend the opening at the Cannes Film Festival.

The directorial debut of Rodrigo Garcia, son of author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, has been compared to highly acclaimed episode films, such as Short Cuts and Magnolia by the US press. Garcia also wrote the script for "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her".

The film was produced by Franchise Pictures, a renowned US production company. Intertainment AG, which is listed on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt stock exchange, holds European rights on this film.

The 52nd Annual Cannes Film Festival begins May 10th and lasts until May 21st, 2000. "Un Certain Regard" displays movies which are not part of the main competition.
