PRESS RELEASE

Franchise defense council informs court of possible representation issue
Date of trial deferred

Ismaning near Munich, November 14, 2002 - Intertainment AG wishes to announce that a court order was made during the pre-trial conference held in connection with the legal dispute between its subsidiary Intertainment Licensing GmbH and Franchise Pictures regarding fraudulently excessive budgets.

During a pre-trial conference before the U.S. District Court in California, Franchise's attorney informed the court of a possible representation issue.

The attorneys discussed the status of the legal dispute with the judge; the judge cancelled the trial date set for November 19, 2002. A decision regarding a new trial date will be discussed during a new pre-trial conference on December 16, 2002.

According to American procedural law, the pre-trial conference is when the parties inform the judge about the status of the legal dispute after completion of discovery and determine the exact course of the trial.

Irrespective of this, the U.S. magistrate judge issued two orders.

First, the order applied for by Franchise regarding confidentiality of the trial documents was revoked as applied for at the initiative of Intertainment. Intertainment will now be able to report in more detail on the evidence.

Second, the application by Intertainment for a writ of attachment over some of the assets of Franchise in order to secure claims enforced by Intertainment in the trial was not upheld. This order will have no effect on the trial.
